In a carefully coordinated World Press Conference held in Abuja on 12 February 2026, the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement (RHGM) reaffirmed its strategic commitment to grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The session was led by Hon. Engr. Amodu Khalid Abdulrahman, National Secretary of the Movement, who addressed members of the press, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and supporters gathered to assess progress and outline the organization’s forward direction.
Opening his address, the National Secretary expressed appreciation to the media community for what he described as “responsible partnership in nation-building,” while also acknowledging the role of traditional institutions and grassroots coordinators in strengthening democratic engagement across Nigeria.
“Our strength remains in the grassroots — in lawful engagement, structured mobilization, and collective unity.”
Hon. Abdulrahman also commended Ambassador Isaac Chigozie Udeh for his steadfast leadership within the Movement, describing his coordination efforts as instrumental in consolidating structures nationwide. According to the National Secretary, RHGM has continued to expand its presence across states and diaspora communities, positioning itself as a key mobilization platform.
He further emphasized that Nigeria stands at a defining moment in its democratic evolution, noting that the leadership of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, comes at a time requiring strategic reforms, economic stabilization, and sustained institutional strengthening.
The address underscored that the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement remains focused on lawful civic participation, structured voter engagement, and coordinated grassroots outreach designed to deliver what he described as a “united block vote” for the President in the 2027 election cycle.
While avoiding inflammatory rhetoric, the Movement’s message centered on unity, stability, and continuity — themes repeatedly emphasized throughout the session.
“These moments in our democratic journey require unity of purpose and disciplined engagement.”
Observers at the conference noted the deliberate tone of institutional maturity adopted by the Movement’s leadership. Rather than framing its activities as campaign-driven, RHGM presented itself as a civic mobilization platform operating within constitutional boundaries.
The National Secretary concluded the briefing by reiterating RHGM’s commitment to peaceful engagement, national cohesion, and strategic coordination across all levels of its structure. He thanked attendees for their presence and reaffirmed that the Movement would continue aligning its activities with the broader Renewed Hope agenda.
The event closed with renewed assurances that stakeholder engagement would intensify in the coming months as preparations gradually align toward the 2027 electoral calendar.
The emphasis on lawful grassroots mobilisation is notable. As 2027 approaches, movements like RHGM will likely play a significant role in shaping voter engagement across states. It will be interesting to see how this strategy translates into measurable political coordination on the ground.
